#41: Wedding Presentation

Her mother walked her down the aisle. A winter wedding. There wasn’t any snow but the dress was crisp. She took a few sessions at the tanning salon and painted her nails for the first time in years. She blended in like she wanted to, but she stood out as the bride. Everyone wanted to have a photo with her. She smiled and waved. She liked the silly confetti as they threw it over her and her partner’s heads.

Everyone moaned about the rain, but she enjoyed it. Her dress and hair didn’t need to be perfect anymore. The photograph under the storm clouds were the best setting for expressions of love.
